DESCRIPTION:40 Days for Life Spring Campaign\, 18 February – 29 March  40 Days for Life is a worldwide mobilization of God’s people to Pray\, Fast\, and Stand Vigil at local Abortion Facilities to end abortion. Holy Family Parish and the Pastorate of Our Lady will each be covering weekly time periods during the spring campaign which meets at the Annapolis Planned Parenthood\, 929 West Street. \n\nPastorate of Our Lady’s hours are Fridays from 10:30AM-11:30AM.  To participate\, contact George Gayno at george.gayno@gmail.com\nHoly Family Parish’s hours are Mondays from 2PM – 3PM.  Meet behind Planned Parenthood near 1005 Smithfield Street.  Please contact Katherine Miller at ksmillerhome@verizon.net if you plan to participate or have any questions.\nYou may also sign up for another time by visiting https://www.40daysforlife.com/en/local-campaigns/annapolis/.\n\nFormer abortion workers report that up to 75% of scheduled abortion appointments are no shows when people are praying outside the abortion facility.  Former Planned Parenthood workers have attributed their conversions to vigil standers outside their abortion clinics.  Be a voice for vulnerable pre-born babies and their mothers by standing vigil and praying.  Even if you can’t come pray outside the facility\, your prayer and fasting are needed to fight for the sanctity of human life!

DESCRIPTION:Looking for a way to “give alms” this Lent?  Our Council voted to participate in the “40 Cans for Lent” food drive. \nCreated years ago by a Knights of Columbus council in Texas\, this nationwide program invites us to donate one non-perishable food item to a local food pantry for each of the 40 days of Lent.  Our Lady of Perpetual Help Food Pantry in the Pastorate of Our Lady lists its weekly needs in the pastorate bulletin and Holy Family’s bulletin\, so it’s easy to figure out what items are most needed. \nIf you decide to participate\, please keep a record of what you donate and send the info to koc8251@gmail.com for inclusion into the Council’s “Food for Families” program submission to Supreme Council.
