40 Cans of Lent

Looking for a Lenten almsgiving program the whole family can participate in?  “40 Cans for Lent” is a Knights of Columbus program to help fight hunger in our community.  It began with one council in Texas in 2011, and is now nationwide.  Participating in the program is simple!  Just collect one non-perishable food item per day for 40 days during Lent, then two non-perishable food items for Easter Sunday.  You can drop off the items you collect as you like in the blue shopping carts in front of the Church, and they’ll get delivered to OLPH Food Pantry or to the Lighthouse Shelter in Annapolis.  Please consider this wonderful family activity to “give alms” this Lent!
