Looking for a way to “give alms” this Lent? Our Council voted to participate in the “40 Cans for Lent” food drive.
Created years ago by a Knights of Columbus council in Texas, this nationwide program invites us to donate one non-perishable food item to a local food pantry for each of the 40 days of Lent. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Food Pantry in the Pastorate of Our Lady lists its weekly needs in the pastorate bulletin and Holy Family’s bulletin, so it’s easy to figure out what items are most needed.
If you decide to participate, please keep a record of what you donate and send the info to koc8251@gmail.com for inclusion into the Council’s “Food for Families” program submission to Supreme Council. Thanks for considering this worthy cause!
